Having fun with CNY Rotary Rocks is easy!
The overall concept of the project is to decorate small rocks with artwork, inspiration or kind sayings and sprinkle them around CNY. The rocks get put out in public places for people to find. When a CNY Rotary Rock is found, you should take a photo of it (and yourself if you don't mind), post it to social media with a note about where it was found and confirm that you will be relocating it. Then you can take it with you and relocate it elsewhere for someone else to find. Hopefully the beautiful rocks, fun drawings and sweet sayings will put a smile on your face!
FIND CNY Rotary Rocks, which are small, decorated rocks, in public spaces in your community. Enjoy the artwork or special message. Rotarians and members of the community are putting out pretty rocks in public spaces for all to see and share. We hope it makes you smile!
SHARE on social media using our hashtag #CNYRotaryRocks whenever you find a rock. Show everyone what you found, tell us where you found it and let everyone know that you are relocating it for someone else to find.
Search the hashtag on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to see where people are finding rocks or click here to follow our Facebook page for some great shares and posts.

MOVE the rocks after you've found them so we can spread the fun. Take them to a park on the other side of town or leave it on another path for someone to see. We want to keep them moving around so everyone can find different CNY Rotary Rocks. Please don't trespass or go on private property with your rock though.
PAINT some of your own rocks and place them out to bring joy to others. Make sure your rocks are small and portable, handled gently so as not to damage anything and placed in public places. No trespassing or going on private property. And keep any messages on your rocks positive please! You can use glitter, googley eyes, bright colors or markers. Just make it fun so it will brighten someone else's day!
Make sure you put the hashtag #CNYRotaryRocks on the back of your rocks so people who aren't familiar with the program can search for us online!
