The House of Friendship (HOF) is a space for Rotarians to go to relax and have a snack, as well as a prime opportunity for clubs and district programs to showcase what they do. It is truly up to those who create the displays to make an HOF bigger, better and more dynamic. We understand the temptation to just pull out the same old display you always use and pop it onto a table. We want to help you take your club's display to the next level at this year's conference by providing some inspiration and ideas.

***YOU MUST REGISTER FOR HOF***
Fill out a registration form and submit it by the
April 19th deadline in order to secure a spot in the HOF.
Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.

PUT SOMEONE IN CHARGE
Please ask a club member to take on this project and make sure this person or someone else from your club can attend conference to set it up. Ideally, someone should be available in the HOF during down time at conference to answer any questions and engage members as they visit your booth! We will have Inspiration Hour from 1-2pm on Saturday to encourage discussion in the HOF specifically.

FEATURE YOUR TOP EVENT
What's your biggest fundraiser? What is the most successful program your club has implemented in the community? What is it you want to share with the district that is unique to your club?
That should be the focus of your space in the HOF - showcasing your best project!

TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK
If your club is looking for a partner on a project or a grant, this is a great place to share that information. Be sure the person staffing your booth is able to speak about the project, answer questions and make meaningful connections so you can make it happen!

JAZZ UP YOUR TRI-FOLD
Most of us have put together a tri-fold poster board with images and information about our club and our events. This is a great place to start, but don't stop there! What can you do to make it more dynamic?
Here are some ideas:

ADD A QUIZ
Can you come up with fun facts about lobsters for your LobsterFest or the history of maple syrup for your Pancake Day? Try creating a fun Q&A for people to ponder while browsing your booth!

ADD SOMETHING TACTILE
Is your booth about Youth Exchange? Hang up a jacket covered in pins for people to look at up close.
Did your fundraiser benefit the food pantry? Give us a stack of non-perishables as a visual.
Think of an actual item(s) that you could put on your display that speak to your event and bring them. Let people pick them up and interact with them and it will make your club's message more memorable!

TEACH US SOMETHING
Did your club raise $10,000 at a fundraiser last year? Great job! But don't just show us pictures from the day of the event, show us HOW you did it! Share the letter you sent to sponsors, the press releases you used to get the word out, the schedule you filled with volunteers to pull off the big day, etc. This is a space for sharing and learning and what better way to empower another club to be successful than to share your recipe for success in detail?

SHOW US THE REAL DEAL
Again, don't just show us pictures of people eating at your spaghetti dinner or running in your 5K.
Show us what you did with the money you raised.
If you implemented a program, share something about that. If you distributed the funds to other organizations providing necessary services in your community, design over-sized checks to display who received contributions. Help us visualize how your club impacts your community!
